Eight crooners fill Forever Doo Wop with vignettes and mini concerts that honor the rhythms and grooves of the ’50s, remaining true to doo wop’s cheer and good-time vibes. Cast members include Early Clover of the award-winning Soul Drifters, esteemed crooner Tonja Foster, and Grammy-winner Jerome Jackson, who in addition to singing wrote and arranged songs for the Shangri-Las and Jimmy Witherspoon. Sharing Jackson’s Renaissance-man approach to music is castmate Terrence Forsythe, who for years has entertained not only as a singer and but as a songwriter, choreographer, director, and aspiring inventor of flying machines.
