As the calendar turns to October, signs of fall are everywhere: Hallween decorations haunt the stores, football games fill stadiums across the country, and Oktoberfest reminds everyone of the value of a cold mug of brew. Hosted by the Golden Nugget Hotel & Casino, the sixth annual Fall Beer Fest honors the spirit of this Bavarian tradition in true Vegas fashion. The party kicks off on Friday, October 9 with an Oktoberfest-themed pool party featuring Bavarian-style food, live entertainment, and samples of more than 100 craft brews. On Saturday, the fest continues with the weekend’s main event: the grand tasting, where reps from the country’s most popular award-winning breweries gather to pour unlimited samples of their sudsy creations. Beer-inspired bites and live entertainment round out the evening’s festivities, which raise money on behalf of the Animal Foundation of Las Vegas.
